The entire braking system off of the TN-TP Magna will bolt straight on!

VR4 calipers will fit onto Magna or AC cordia caliper mounts.

The secret for the Magna rear disc conversion (that does'nt include grinding of the rear tailing arm) is:

Put the left hand side caliper mount on the right hand side, and vise versa.
Easy, no grinding required!

When changing to VR4 or multi point injection, there is a possibility of the inlet pipe hitting the clutch master cylinder fill point. (the plastic bit)

To overcome this problem fit the Hyundia Excel off set filler. They are the same diameter and bolt straight on.

No more problems.

for the mpi, what computer is recommended? can fuel only suffice or should a complete fuel and ignition computer be used?

haha also, what about getting a sonata crank into a 2 litre block with vl turbo pistons and a bit of machining to make it a 2.3 litre? what can be done with the standard 1.8 litre block?

there are stroker kits avaliable for the vr4 block that bring it up to 2.3 (or mebbe 2.4 cant remember) but that is overkill imo since it doesnt take anything special once you are running vr4 to break traction very regularly

The seat belt buckle switch in a drivers side Mazda929 '85/'86.
Goes straight in to a cordia's seat belt buckle.
Easy from there to hook up the seat belt light in the dash of the Cordia so the light comes on like in modern cars.

Also if you need spare dash bulbs and bulb holders Mazda 929 from mid to late'80's are the same.

a mate i dont see anymore grabbed my old gsl just to see what blocks would fit
he was working at the wreckers at the time... yeah yeah, wait for it
2.6l magna and 3.0l magna, i think at the time RPW were trying to fit a v6 aswell
some work needed to be done obviously, but they went down ok

i was thinking maybe a 4G69 2.4l mivec, they wack out 125kw
and RPW have rigged up a manifold for turbo upgrade also
my girlfriend has a good donor in her 2007 ltd edition lancer
might take her leather seats while i'm at it, she doesnt need them

Are you saying that a 2.6L magna motor fits a corida gearbox?

or the cv's will fit the magna box but i think the cordia box would fit, magna manifolds fit 1.8 heads... i'm sure we lined one of them up too

i think mitsubishi only had one setting on the machine back then

saves lotsa $$$$$

range rover used to run 1 gearbox in everything from trucks to their 4*4's... makes the gearbox indestrutible in the 4*4.... my neighbour is/was a rangie nut... he got a bad one that he just couldnt keep on the road so he is over them a bit... but yeah... they did some ground breaking stuff... they have had alloy blocks since the 70's (mebbe even before) something that all the big companies have only started with in the last few years

The cordia box won't fit the magna astron engine, the block configuration is different..................the old wide block syndrome.

right you are, but theres a way to get the motor and box in, then theres the matter of cv's
alot of trouble tho, when there's straight bolt options that can pull many g's

I think ull find that both the manafolds are diffent too (i mersed one up th other day, but i thint the starters might be interchangable.
and i don't think the vackume booster is interchangable.

PS: I have a TP magna sitting at home

The brake booster is interchangable............I have a TP magna one in Bitza...............makes the pedal height "more usable" than the original GSR one.

But i'm running the full TP braking system, had no problems. 8)

picked up the intake manifold off a 1990 galant sohc, the bolt configuration is the same, but doesn't the 1.8 cordia head have sqared ports, because this manifold has round ports. i have to take the standard intake off my my old engine to see if it fits pefect, but it's at my brothers house

If it wasn't so hot outside I'd whip out there and rip mine off for you to check. It's a bitch to get back on with the external in the way tho but I might have a crack at it tomorrow if you still need an answer. Its been so long since I've had it off, can't remember off the top of my head weather they are round or square.
