We tried to change the wheel bearings, but the hub looks asthough it has been bashed, and the bearing won't move from the shaft thing either... so we have to get another one now, chances of getting her on the road now before Christmas is slim, unless someone can sell me a good set pretty quickly! :cry:

The Thursday before Christmas I was desperate to get a front right AC brake caliper, I found a wrecker in Adelaide who said "yep" we've got one, we can have it in your hands tomorrow!
I payed a rediculous $95 for the item (including bus freight) to get here overnight so I could cruize for christmas...
All day I waited... nothing, I then had to wait another week (and not drive the Cordia) before the Christmas break was over so I could ring the wrecker to find out what happened...
The response I got was, "oh we sent it up that day (bus frieght), it should have been there friday... you'd better check your local bus depot"...
So I went to the depot, and found my caliper... it had the wrong street number on the packaging, that's why it didn't get to me on-time! :roll:
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE...
I took the caliper home, removed the tire from my car, unbolted the stuffed caliper (stripped thread)... I went to put on the replacement and what do you know??? it's an AB caliper.... I have AC brakes! :evil:
SO THERE YOU GO, PAY TOP DOLLAR FOR SOMETHING TO GET IT ONTIME AND YOU GET IT 2 WEEKS LATE AND THE WRONG ITEM!
................I'll be ringing them tomorrow, and they'll be paying the shipping for a replacement!!!
I'm pissed now.... just rang the wrecker this morning,
and he reckons I told him the wrong address and the wrong brake type...

I asked for a refund...
he reckons it's not his fault that I told him the wrong info...

He then said "I think I should know, since I took the phone call for the order"...
:evil: BULLSHIT! His wife did!!!
OH OH... then he goes "I made the effort to go out and remove the caliper quickly because it was urgent, and I knew this one wasn't seized or anything, and it was a good one because I actually drove it last week!"
I said, "the bleeder wasn't even cracked off" so he wouldn't have known the condition of the caliper, as if it was infact seized it would have likely stuffed the caliper! (or atleast make it damn hard to remove!)
I said "It's good practice to check that the bleeder isn't seized before shipping!"
He got all pissed off and asked for my number... :roll:

Well... some relief for me! This morning the wrecker rang me about the caliper, he said that they found a match for the caliper and they are an upgraded brake to the AC model, so who knows what they are, he said he got the replacement caliper off another cordia which was running these one's... maybe it's a common upgrade, dunno... but I'll post the numbers up on the site when I recieve it tomorrow! Oh! He said he's giving me the other side too so that they match, so that was awsome! So now instead of paying $95 for one caliper I payed $95 for two posted! So yeh I'm stoked! Took the BOV into the muffler shop this morning, the dude said he will need to make up a plate to fit it coz of the design 'Blitz SS BOV', the plate needs to be welded to a pipe (which he said should be piss easy! He's gonna give me a ring probably tomorrow when he's done, I reckon it'll cost around $50 total, so I'm hoping not much more, as the small pipe welded onto the crossover would only be around $25, but making the plate could prove difficult! So we'll see how he goes with it!

I've got some good news for ya! You can pop most of that dent out quite easily by opening the tailgate, and you'll see plastic panels near your dent on the inside of the car... my car is missing a panel so I can easily push it out... Try this, and let me know how ya go! :?
