Takin' it easy.
burgandy one has standard vr4 engine. And the blue one is 1.8 with a flowed tdo6 and major head work.
Sweet, I really like the rims on your burgundy one. They suit really well.
Yeah they look pretty nice, the blue one must go hard worked with a tdo6 lol damn. sweet rides m8 :nice:

Was TD06 a typo? High-flowed TC06 perhaps?
no td06. -20g compresser wheel
Shit, nice. How's the lag?
faaar yeah must have a little bit of lag lol, but rip hard when shes there
did you buy the burgandy one in melb? looks like one that was for sale on CP.... nice looking cars none the less 8)

yea thats the 1 Jimi.
I remember rebuilding that motor with my dad. We spent alot of time on it (everything got done properly).
The car had about 5 thousand k's on it when you bought it.
"Dont expect anything to crazy" you cant be serious? not after the stories i heard about your bike lol

My mate used 2 own the blue one, he had the windows tinted and the evo 3 front on it, we did 250km+ on the freeway with it 2, it the Cordia that terned me into a fan
yeah well, there fun thats for sure, had the blue ones engine fully rebuilt, who ever built it missed heaps. nice o-ring work tho. goes like a shower of shit now... keeps up with the vr4 once the big boost starts spinning up. The Red one with the vr4 engines now boasting brand new 4 puck brass button clutch with all new hydraulics to make sure i can continue to keep those pesky wrx's at bay. both cars have had a lot of work done already, but most of it is just to keep the fricken things running... hopefully i can get some hi-performance work done soon.
Not sure if this is the car your talking about, i did buy it in vic mid/end last year, but the guy didnt mention any work being carried out after the conversion... i hope it is though, i like it when i buy looked after gear. the km counter wasnt working when i bought it, so i got no idea how many k's its done. - and yes my bike is crazy... but then again life starts at 400 kph. ;)

Yea that’s the 1 mate u bought it of Michael im his nephew. That’s the car that got me into cordia’s.
The motor was fully built 5k before you bought it. It has ACL engine bearings and new piston rings I cant remember the brand.
I ran the motor in 2000k so trust me the gauge could not have shit itself to long ago. If anything it stopped working just before you bought it. So that’s good news I guess.
Keep us updated mate.
Any reason to why you changed the clutch? it was a new 5 puck exedy when the motor was rebuilt 5 thousand k before you bought it.
Ive had major clutch problems with the burgandy one since on the way back from vic, replaced everything from the hoses to the flywheel. still doesnt change right, but its heaps better. it was fine when i left melbourne, but oh well, i dont mind. ive heavily modified the gear selector to provide shorter and more precise throws as well as by-passing the reliance on that fragile rubber mount, frikken solid.. the dash caught fire about 3 times since ive had it, just in the middle of re-wiring in the turbo timer and the alarm system to the ignition circuit. the engines awesome, you guys did a great job there. runs fully sick killa mate subwoofa.. want to order some stage 2 cams for it asap. over all the cars been looked after very well. cheers. :).
Fire! shit thats no good, problem sorted now?
Maybe the box is on its way out? it didnt feel to great when i was running it in, especially
fifth gear.
The cams should be good let me know how they perform, might look into it.
Yeah the fires sorted... re-wiring is done. i took the pin out the clutch slave cylinder and threaded the end of it and attached another bit of rod to it to extend the throw of the pin... worked out perfect... opened the gates nicely quick changing full on now.
is there any other upgrades that have been done to the engine? i've been doing heaps of shopping at racing performance works so i dont want to buy anything thats already been done. thanks for the info, it certainly pays to be on cordiafreaks! - the cam im ordering is a solid billet 272 HKS cam. should provide me with some entertainment, RPW have a td05 upgrade kit including turbo manifold im going to pick up as well. awesome lil car.. cant wait to see how quick this thing will actually go!
No major upgrades where done, they where mainly all bolt-ons like the vl turbo pump, microtech mt8 (Which was in need of a diffident tune as the car went much harder after the last tune a few years back) and the quite obvious exhaust and front mount cooler,
everything else was stock.
When we pulled the motor apart for a little freshening up we said f**k it and decided to change every gasket, seal, bearing and belt we could think of just to make it like new again (you shouldn't have any leaks for a while). not that it was very old anyways. Ill try to dig up some pics of the insides of the blody thing it was spotless.
Few pics I found on my old mobile, sorry about the shit quality.
Mate... you Fricken ROCK!!!! thanks heaps for the photos, theres a big groove been worn out just off centre on the timing belt i found today, must be rubbing on something down in there somewhere... il pull the covers off and have a look when my timing belt comes in.
Since i got the car back from melbourne i have barely driven it coz of some major cooling dramas, (car staying too cool) so i through in a thermostat which sorted that. and then the gearbox/clutch issues which is now perfect. and then the electrical fire, which totally sucked. (there are no problems, only opportunities.) which means ive done bugger all k's since, so the engine should be still like brand spanking new in there. Ive been babying the hell out of it lately, its parked on carpet under an airconditioner right now with about 10 coats of pollyglaze on it... hehehe over all ive heaps happy with it im stoked i managed to bump in to you on here... i hope bitza gets that equal length shaft project finished soon, i want a set 4 me.
hey, i just noticed the tyres in that pic, same tyres that are still on it now and still got heaps of tread on it
The equal length shafts is nearly sorted.....just need a little more time. 8)

This thing will decimate all.......once I've put another fifteen grand into it!
Yea they where the ones we got with the rims they have been on it for ages, for a soft compound rubber they lasted a fair while.
Yeah the fires sorted... re-wiring is done. i took the pin out the clutch slave cylinder and threaded the end of it and attached another bit of rod to it to extend the throw of the pin... worked out perfect... opened the gates nicely quick changing full on now.
My gearbox has been feeling funny lately (wont except first until ive literally stopped), maybe my car is in need of this. Could you please elaborate on how exactly this was done.
yup, just pull the slave cylinder pin out / cut it in two where it will remain still exposed from the cylinder and tread the ends and stick a nut between them, should give you (depending on the thinkness of the nut) heaps more throw and the ability to wind it in and out a lil till you get it right, then tak it in place. also, make sure the locking nut on the master cylinder hasnt come loose, as with cordia master cylinders they gotta be in there pretty tight against the pedal, i have mine almost semi-engaged to get it to open nice and wide wen i slam it home... damn that sounds sexual.
sounds like backyard work... but its effective. done the same thing on my commie

Very nice, love the burgundy one. The blue one looks cool too, what motor is in it?
