Hi all,
I have a cordia AB TC06 Cordia. It's been a on again off again project of mind for over a year.
Recently, I tried to turn the motor over and it simply would not start so I did the following:
1. Checked the fuel - It was brown so I cleared it out and put new unleaded in
2. Cleaned out the throttle body and injectors
When I primed the throttle body with some petrol the car started. But did NOT last long. It seemed that as soon as the primed petrol had burned, the car stalled.
I immediately guessed it was the injectors.
Now, I do not think that the ECU is getting the injectors to squirt. I assume this as my multimeter does not seem to pick up a circuit.
I really have no idea why the injectors dont seem to be firing. Nothing wrong with them it seems. When I dismantle the throttle body, and look in, it is as dry as hell...therefore petrol is not injected???
I have a MT4 Microtech ECU that has been working fine. The last time I started the car was about 2 months ago. I get my wifes car to jump start me with no luck. But as I said, if I prime the throttle body with a cap full of petrol, it starts up and runs for about 4 seconds. Then dies.
Can anyone please suggest why the injectors dont seem to be firing????????
Thanks
Jeff

Check to see if you have you have 12 volt at the injector plug............if not, check 12 volt switched ignition for a fuse fault and check the main control relay for the operation of the fuel pump.
