Hi all,

Just thought i would post on here on behalf of my husband....

You see he has owned IDO13S for many years now and is seriously concidering selling it. I was hoping some words of encouragement from people who know how hard it is to finish a project may change his mind. The last 18months have been plagued with problems, i think the most recent was the braided hoses from the surge tank bursting on the first drive after receiving it back from the mechanic after 9 months of work on it.

Anyway .....

Thanks

Tam

Hey there Tam! :)

I sure hope you don't end up selling the car, as it is definitely one of the best builds I've seen... How far are you from being complete? (disregarding complications) ???

My car still has the 4g62 motor in it, so my project is FAR from even started... so I am quite jealous of IDO13S! :) haha

Much potential, setbacks suck... But it seems it doesn't really matter what type of car you are building for a project, there's always a complication or two, or three!

Hope you're doing well!

as a car you have obviously put a part of you into.. You will only regret selling it.

As most people do that have sold there project cars. (finished or unfinished)

I know i could never sell my Cordia as it has a part of me in it, and yes there are times i've thought fuck it i'll just sell the thing to somone else to finish/fix it up.
But i know if ever i did i would never forgive myself.

Hope you dont sell it dude

I spoke to my next door neighbor today who is mates with the guy I purchased the GSR from, he said that he still loves my car, and it's been nearly 6 years! So Damien is right, it's something you'll only regret I reckon! After a while, cars become an extension of you, especially when you've put so much effort and time into them! I have considered selling mine at times, but each time it is running well, I wouldn't part with it for the world!

Actually for the first time since 2002 I have gotten sick of my Cordia.

But I remember how when it is away from me I feel part of me is missing.

Keep the car,honestly.

I know how you feel on this one.

I put my car up for sale and it's 99% finished to where i would want it.
Took me 3 years thus far.

It all depends what else you have to live for, or keep busy, and how far your heart is in it smiley

Hope it works out anyhow, good luck.
It is a sweet cordia though, sounds like a good build too.
