Hey guys just wondering if anybody knows here in NZ where i could buy some stiff rear springs and harder shocks
for my Cordia, i just can't find anything in the way of aftermarket here and don't wanna pay some guy hundreds and thousands,
merely to harden the back up.

Or if anybody even in Australia is selling some shocks or springs for the rear that would be sweet as.

I'm also after a stronger front sway bar for my front suspension if someone has one or knows where any of these bits are that
 would be awesome.

Thanks
Brad

Hey Brad,

Larger front swaybars stiffen up the front end but they also promote a little extra understeer (a noticeable increase), so there is a downfall to this. If you currently have soft front suspension, then the benefit from a stiffer front end (due to a swaybar) well out ways the increase in additional understeer.

However, if you have front coilovers or decently stiffer suspension already, the benefits of a stiffer front swaybar start to fall. In this case an additional rear swaybar is what you should be after.

Having said all this, im going to cut the crap. Hands down, dollar for dollar decent shocks and springs (not off the shelf Monroe’s and Kings) shit all over swaybars when it comes to complimenting the cordia’s handling.

One last note, shocks are used to control the oscillations of the spring. Therefore, don’t be fooled into stiffening your springs to achieve a stiffer ride. A setup with over dampened shocks will well out handle a setup with over sprung springs. This is because you will not encounter the dreaded pogo stick effect (Commodores with chopped springs are notorious for this).

Awesome man, thanks for the info.

I'll take that on board... although.. at the moment i do just have some stock shocks and just low king springs going in there.
Nothing too fancy, just wanna stop the sea saw effect lol.

Cheers wink
