Ok,   Not sure if anyone out there can help me, i have the cordia motor and mounts, now i just want to know if anyone has done this conversion and if so if they could help me out abit. All i need to know is which engine mounts i need to use and if any need to be modified. If so which ones need to be modified and how.   So far i have the motor sitting in with the front rear cordia mounts and the gearbox has the cordia bracket with the colt chassis mount. The only mount i cant fit is the top left, which my conclusion is to cut the the bush housing and relocate it on the mount to where it aligns with the colt mount bracket on the chassis.

The cordia motor will fit into the colt.................you need to modify the passenger side mount to locate, just grind off the bush and reweld.   I had a look at this a few years ago...............just be careful when using the colt gearbox and driveline..................it's a little flimsy.   One day I will put a VR4 into an RE colt...................hummm....................Fun!

Thank you for your help so all i have to do is grind the bush off on the left side mount, and relocate it. Also i am using a cordia box it came with the motor. And this is a just for fun thing to see how it goes my plan is to put a VR4 in the colt once i try this out. i found an article on someone who has done the VR4 conversion and he run a 12.9 with 174kw. But that is in the future for my little car. Also i have seen the vids of your car and what can i say but WOW nice work on the engine. I'm guessing it is similiar to the colt you needed to modify the passenger mount. I hear with my car that the VR4 engine only has about 8mm clearance from the crank pully to the left side of the engine bay.   So you would recomend me using cordia shafts?   I am pretty happy with the project so far i picked up the cordia motor, box, computer, wireing harness , radiator for $200 off ebay. Did the compression test and all seems good. The only thing that was wrong with it was the turbo is blown, so i am using a mits gsr TDO4L turbo. picked it up a while back for another project that did get started. So i will see how that goes.   P.S did you reach your power goal that you wanted on your car.

You will run into problems using cordia shafts as they are 20mm to long...................you'll either need to get them shortened or look at other CV's to loose the amount..............I am currently having fuel problems with my car..................need to save some cash for more dyno time..................so the answer is no.
